First hike I’ve done since Covid, probably should have done a warmup hike lol. Arrived on a Thursday at 630am and just a few cars in the lot. I drove an hour with coffee and restrooms are closed. First of five trail pees which for women are not the best. Went to the falls first and there were about 15 people coming and going. In retrospect I would have skipped that detour as you get a nice view from the Lower Gabrielo trail. I only saw a few people on the trail up and it was beautiful. I got off trail multiple times early on and then finally got it together and paid better attention and used Gaia. I probably wasted 45 minutes. The final climb was long and tough. At the top the restrooms were also closed. Took a few selfies at the top in the gravel lot and headed down Mt Wilson trail. It was a nice trek down. I enjoyed the climb at the bottom to Chandry Flats as my knees do better up than down and had enough of the descent. I had to change in my car, not the first time.
