It was my first time to this trail, and the trail was clearly marked the whole way for the most part. It was nice to see so many other trails break off at the saddle. The signage really helped to identify which way to what trail. The water flowing was so pleasant and I nice escape from the city for a bit. Towards the summit there was some snow patches in chutes and trail side. There was a light breeze and the summit air felt refreshing. Before heading up the trail, we did fill out a permit form found outside the ranger station/visitor center. The station was closed secondary to COVID-19 pandemic, but there was a lot of hikers out on the trail since the trailhead was just opened up that weekend.

Sections of the trail are super narrow making passing close. Loose rock at some of the narrow switchbacks toward the summit. We nearly got hit with a “wall ball” sided rock that was dislodged by a troop of hikers above.

All in all it was a good hike with more demand on mental stamina then muscular stamina.
