Right before the last snow fall I did Strawberry as the warmup hike for this years 6pop. Noticed the cleared fire road near Lawson peak as evidence of the fires from last year. And I some placed you can see the scarred and barren hillsides. Strawberry was otherwise the same: a nice hike into the saddle, and then some scrambling. Good practice.
