Parked at the Redbox canyon trailhead at 7am which was already full of cars. Starting on the trail it was crowded and we were following the people in front of us and almost heading up the firebreak to Mt. Lawlor. Thank goodness we stopped for a snack and realized the actual trail went around! Beautiful views into the backside of Angeles National Forest that you usually don’t get to see when climbing surrounding mountains. This trail was unique in the fact that you get to do some climbing on rocks on the last mile up to the peak. We sat at the peak and had lunch and noticed it started to get packed with a few hiking groups. Overall, was a beautiful hike with amazing weather!
