March 6th, I met friends at a park and ride, drove to the Vincent Gap trail not knowing what my fate that day was going to be. We summited. Everything was fine Until the way down, we were sliding and falling. I fell down the ice chute. Broke my leg, had to be rescued by a helicopter. I was so calm and collected. Until I got to the hospital. Xrays showed a Broken tibia, fibula and plantar bones. Ouch. My surgery was March 10th. I thought my hiking days were over. I had signed for 12 peaks challange. I had no hope to get back to the trails. Fast forward to today. Today I finished 6 peaks. I chose Mt Baden Powell, yes the same place where I broke my leg, to be my last peak.  My tibia still broke, but I wanted to honor and remember My Mom whom passed away January 6th, almost 7 months have passed. There are no words to put on writing my sorrows I miss her tremendously. She was my role model. She was tough, resilient and a very loving person. Today, I honored her by hiking Mt Baden Powell. The same place I broke my leg, but want to believe she saved me that day. Yes my tibia is still broke, and yes Im not supposed to be hiking. But I will climb mountains to honor her memory
