I arrived at the red box parking lot at around 10 am today and there were many empty spots. After confirming with the Indian culture center/information center, I headed out for the hike.
The first 2 miles are very flat normal roads and suddenly it starts inclining and hiking poles are very useful and recommended. Yuccas are sometimes blocking the road. After passing the fake peak, you will see the real strawberry peak which is really awesome view.
To the northwest of the leak, the ridge to the Josephine Saddle is a lot of rocks. I cannot make it there.
Overall, it’s a little bit challenging but well reworded with the great view.
