Set off from Manker Flat just before 9AM. All Trails listed mileage at 9.2. Took the loop counter-clockwise up the fire road to the summit. Made good time at about 3 mph for the first 5-6 miles then slowed waaay down. Summited at about 12:45. Descent to starting point listed as 3.5 miles but didn’t arrive back to Manker Flat until 3:45… over 2 hours late to meet my ride back to town. Final mileage just over 12?? No wrong turns so not sure what’s up with All Trails mileage. My ride (dad and son) were just glad I arrived back in one piece.
