It was a beautiful day. We started at 6 a.m. and took the Baldy Bowl trail up. The weather was perfect – clear, blue sky, and not too hot during our ascend. The ascend was tough – we covered almost 4000′ elevation gain in over 4 miles. It took us about 4 hours to get to the peak as we had to take lots of short breaks.  We took Devil's Backbone down. Stopped at the top of the notch restaurant, ordered a Michilada to go and drank it on the way down the ski lift which cut our hike by about 2 miles!  What a great way to end the day!
