Today, my husband and I took the day off to hike Sitton Peak. It was a beautiful trail with impressive views at the peak. The trail was pretty well maintained and was a fairly easy hike until the last quarter mile or so, which was a little overgrown and steep with some rock scrambling–but so worth the effort.

The bugs were pretty bad in some places, but hey that’s the outdoors for you.

I felt the trail was well marked, but the signs are small, so you just have to pay attention. About a mile from the top, I was starting to get concerned that we had missed a sign, as the trail started a gradual descent rather than continuing its ascent. We kept going, though, and finally saw the last sign pointing straight up, and up we went all the way to the top.
