There will be a NorCal version of the Six-Pack of Peaks Challenge, using the Bay Area as the hub. We are working with much lower elevation peaks (because that’s what is near the area), but we will have a number of double-digit mileage hikes and multiple thousands of vertical gain.

In other words, it will be a challenge.

We have a list of candidate peaks that need to be “auditioned” and are scheduling our initial scouting hikes. Once we finalize the list, we’ll set a date to open registration. We are shooting for Spring 2018.

The good news is that these peaks will be hike-able pretty much year round. Some get a bit of snow now and then, but it’s unusual.
