Hope this isn't too late. Last time I hiked San Bernardino was back in September, which is late in the season and there was still water at Limber Pine spring (which is actually at a turn on the last switchback BEFORE Limber Pine Camp). Normally there is still water running (trickling) there through July at least. Since there was still some snow at the top on May 7th, it's a safe bet that there's water available there.
