We decided to knock this mountain out after seeing there was only going to be a 10% chance of rain the night before.  After waking up and realizing the forecast was wrong, we still pushed out to Julian in hopes of the weather rolling out before we got to the trailhead.  We got to the trailhead and the rain and wind was not letting up, and I was not prepared with the appropriate rain gear, gloves or even long pants!  Regardless of these factors, we still went after the peak since we drove over an hour to get to the trailhead.  The trail was muddy and slippery and windy throughout the exposed portions of the trail.  We thought we were the only two on the trail, but ran into two other couples on their way up while we were quickly descending.  Coming down was slippery because of the mud, but we made it back without falling.  However, we were completely soaked and pretty cold.  This was nothing a nice warm slice of Julian Apple Pie and coffee couldn't rectify!
