What a day! We originally planned to hike Mount Jacinto on a Sunday so I had it in my mind that the first tram up was 8am. Last minute both my friend and I had a schedule change so we were able to bump up our hike to today (Wednesday). We drove from LA and pulled in at 7am, to moleskin our feet and get ready to climb, when a friendly employee asked us why we were so early. Yeah…turns out Wednesday's first tram was at 10am doh!

We had a great time once we finally got started. The air was humid and we knew there was a chance of a thunderstorm, but thought it wouldn't be till later in the evening. When we were on the summit we saw some nasty clouds rolling in and decided we better head back. Well it wasn't long before there was non-stop thunder and hail! it lasted quite a long time but fortunately we had made it back to tree line and had brought our rain jackets. We saw several people heading up the trail that did not look so prepared. All in all it was an amazing day and the last of the original peaks for me to finish the challenge woohoo!!
