June 14th, 2019

3 take aways from this hike; and then some:

  1. All the snow is gone lol this hike was a pain back in January with all the snow. It is way easier now and enjoyable haha. No ice axe or spikes needed.
  2. Trail-head gets packed soon. When i finished at 10am that parking lot was filled for a Friday, I can only imagine Sat – Sun.
  3. Nice Sunny day = good tan if you bring sunscreen

Extra notes:

  • Training for Mount Whitney (next Sat), I think this was a helpful hike to re-do.
  • Lots of people later on in the day. If you are someone who wants to feel alone in a national forest, you should start earlier, like 4:30-5am.
