The hike was great! It was a great day outside and it was not crowded past the Icehouse Canyon Saddle area. I hadn't worked out in a few weeks leading up to this hike because I was in a clinical study, however I wanted to get started on my hikes sooner rather than later and went for it. I felt the elevation, but took breaks as needed and took my time going up. It took us 5 hours to reach the peak including breaks. Going down was very painful for me, my hips and my feet felt every single rock I stepped on. I was going to do Cucamonga Peak for this challenge, but after stepping on uneven rocks for 2 hours my mental energy and feet are not enthusiastic about Cucamonga anymore. lol. After a couple of months and doing a couple of peaks in between, who knows, I may change my mind. All in all, Ontario was great. It was my first time on that peak. We were above the clouds and it was perfect weather.
