We started the day waiting out a tempest in the parking lot. In the morning, Mount Pinos was best avoided due to thunder and lightning. We ran down from the summit at the start of the hike and enjoyed the views back up on top before finishing. Sawmill and Grouse Mountains were splendid with ample shade and fresh scents from the pines. Most of the afternoon was picture picture under blue holes as the weather had moved to the Central Valley.
