3-2-1 Hiking Challenge

Mount Pinos – 8,848′           (highest peak in Ventura County)

Sawmill Mountain – 8,818′ (highest peak in Kern County)

Grouse Mountain – 8,583′

Since I had to drive up from Orange County figured should make the hike count and do all three and an overnight camping trip at the trailhead, which included early morning visit from a black bear.  Great challenge, didn't clock the millage but somewhere around 10-12 miles maybe more in about 5 1/2 hours.  The hike to Mt. Pinos was only 2 miles.  All trails were in great condition, easy to follow, and each peak was a little different which was nice.

Also this finished off the 6 of 6 peaks but of course going for all 12.
