Bugs were not too bad

Great hike to start the challenge with. Nice steady incline throughout the whole hike with a good amount of shade. At the top the view is amazing and there was a nice park ranger that informed us on all the cool information about the mountain and other peaks as well as the history of the area. On the way down, we encountered overly friendly flies and made it back to the start in no time.
