Despite the mid-90 degree prediction for the weather, the hike was cool, even chilly at some parts. There were a few areas where the sun shown through the sparse trees near the top when the heat could be felt. Other than those areas, the trail was well-forested. The hike felt like a slow, low burn as I trekked uphill to the peak. It was a gradual uphill in comparison to the other peaks I’ve reached for the six peak challenge. Coming down was much easier and I was able to shave off 30 mins in comparison to the uphill battle.
