This was a beautiful, long hike. We accidentally parked 1-1/2 miles away from the start so, added millage. Del Valle didn't open until 7:00 AM. The gate was suppose to be locked at 6 PM, but they must have seen our car in the parking lot and kept the right side open so that we could leave. Thank goodness. We didn't finish until 2 hours after dark. The last part of the trail was was a fire road. Required a headlamp and lots of water (3-4 liters each). Again the weather was perfect with no rain, no wind, 45-65 degrees, clear skies. CA is down 60% from normal rainfall 🙁

The views were amazing. I'm going again tomorrow, with a different group.
