To start off the weather was absolutely perfect. It was chilly in the morning but as the day progresses it stayed in the 60s with a slight breeze. The top was chilly and windy. I definitely threw on my jacket. The trail was for the most part covered in shade. The trail itself was a little tricky to navigate only because it looks like it hasn't been maintained in awhile. My boyfriend and I crawled under two trees that fell on the trail. There was enough space to get under them. It felt like I was climbing a giant boulder that had exploded. So many rocks and tree roots to step over. It felt like I was on a stair master all the way up. I was expecting the trail to be a lot tougher but I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. At the end my feet were hurting but mentally I didn't feel drained. That's a big plus! This summer has been a blast summiting so many So. Cal summits and Whitney. But now I'm ready for snowboarding season.
