As usual, the rocks of Icehouse Canyon are out to get me and my feet. Otherwise, no snow or ice patches to be aware of until pass the saddle. The snow is patchy and a sketchy type of icy in some areas so I highly recommend some microspikes to minimize slipping. I tried it both with spikes on and off and I no longer had to fear falling off the mountain in my microspikes! It was a hot and sunny day, only a little chilly at the saddle.
