It was a beautiful day with lots of incredible wildflowers and dancing butterflies! I could have done without all the bees and other flying insects…but it was not unbearable and nothing bit us, thank God! The peak was small, but on a warm Tuesday, there was very few people on the peak or trail for that matter. We decided to take the Bear Ridge loop for our return trip – It was very pretty, but not a lot of tree cover in the heat of the day. Overall I would for sure do this one again for FUN!

  1. I found this hike boring when I did it back in February. I didn’t know about the Bear Ridge loop, will have to check it out.
