This was a great getaway for the day with a less strenuous hike than Mt Diablo.  The trail is less technical than other hikes and often wide enough for 2 people to walk side by side.   This was great for conversation and we enjoyed the break both from our busy lives and the previous intense hike.  This was a busier trail than others and one had to keep an eye out for mountain bikes.  We saw a couple of deer but no humming birds.   The best part of this hike most definitely is the peak and the view of the entire San Francisco Bay area.  The last time we hiked this it was very cloudy and beginning to rain and we were not able to see the other peaks.  We were excited to see other peaks we have hiked before including Mt. Diablo and Mt. Tamalpais, as well as San Francisco, the bay, the Apple headquarters in Sunnyvale, Santa Cruz, Monterrey Bay, and the ocean.  We also saw Mt. Hamilton on the East side of the bay area and are wondering if that one can be summited as well.  It was a good day with no blisters, overall a success.
