Wow! This was a BIG hike for me. No sooner did we start out on the trail were we above the clouds. The weather this day was sunny but clouds were settled into the canyon and later in the afternoon the wind picked up a lot to try to move the clouds. It was very gusty on top of the summit. When we crossed over Devil's Backbone, I couldn't believe it. I was very nervous. The summit up to the top of the mountain was also a challenge for me. I went along the way little by little and eventually made my way to the top.

Overall the hike was the most challenging. At one point I had turned around but because I was so close to reaching the top, I turned around again and went for it. I made it.
