Due to a late start this started as an afternoon hike. Unlike last year's hike to this peak, this time there were little if any wildflowers – it was too early in the year. Surprisingly despite moving slugish and slow, I still made progress within my self-imposed time limits. On the cables it seemed a little easier this time since I had a plan putting on and taking off the gloves as needed on the cables. The summit had a register this time unlike previous hikes – it was nice to sign them a register this time.  The hike down was uneventful and the only reason I was slow was to put on and take off the gloves whenever I needed to and setting up the tripod for photos. I made it back to the car with plenty of time to spare before sunset.
