So, this hike was added to the pack of peaks. I was already planning to hike this before it even go added. I was expecting a longer hike! It was one of the shortest hikes I've done. From the second I got there, I was already feeling the heat! I knew it was going to be a scorcher. It was a very hot day that day and it was early in the morning. My hiking partner and I were mobbing it up there. She eventually left me behind because the heat must have been getting to me. I stopped and drank Gatorade and water. After that I felt great again. Made it to the top with no issues. My Hiking partner was already there waiting in the long line to take a picture. Which I thought was ridiculous. It was an enjoyable hike overall. Just make sure to bring plenty of water. Don't be like the fellow hiker I encountered close to the bottom of the trail. She said she was getting altitude sickness. Which that couldn't be it, that day was super hot and the elevation gain was only 2000. The heat was getting to her too. Just be prepared for all hikes and bring plenty of water.
