We were so fortunate that the highway closure started right after the picnic area. The group was a little bigger than usual and it was fun to meet new people that friends invited, as well as having my daughter with me. No annoying flying bugs but this trail has too many ants up to the summit. But another good news was we didn’t see bees this time unlike last year. Don’t get fooled by its distance because this is not a walk in the park… let me just leave it like that????
