Great hike on Black Crater. This hike starts from the Black Crater TH and immediatelly starts climbing uphill. Trail in good condition, easy to follow. Sad going through all the burned trees. Lots of snowfields at the second leg of the trail. Luckily we had spikes so just went straight up. We were the only ones at the summit, surprising – on such a beautiful day! Great views in all directions, Three Sisters & Broken Top, Mt. Washington, Three Fingered Jack, Mt. Jefferson and Mt. Hood. It was windy at the summit. We spent about 10 mins there and then headed down. Up and down in about 3 hours.
