My sister and I completed this hike together. We’ve hiked Peralta many times (one of our favorites!), so we decided to try something different and more challenging to get to Fremont Saddle. We took Bluff Springs to Terrapin to Peralta. The hike was almost 8 miles with 2,000 ft elevation gain. We ended up at the base of Weaver’s Needle for a portion of the hike, which was new for us and a cool, completely different perspective. There were some thorny plants that were overgrown on the Terrapin portion of the hike that scraped us up a bit but overall it was a great hike with some fun scrambles and beautiful views!
