The four of us met at the Palm Springs Tram and rode up to the top.  Ate some lunch..because we were in no hurry.  The weather was mild compared to the heat we just left.  Later we backpacked into Round Valley.  As the sun went down there was a Fall bite to the air..  Loving that after the heat we have had for the last few weeks.  The dropping temps and the wind that had started to pick up chased each of us into our tents.   The wind howled all night, at times threatening to tear my fly off.

Up at 6 the wind, mild now,  stayed with us off and on.  We had the summit to ourselves as the tram had hardly started for the day!! Up on top with the windchill we took our pics, atenour snacks and enjoyed the gorgeous view.  Number 7 for me!
