Any day that you can summit Humphery's is a good day! This hike was completed with a group of four badass women – and we started at 5am. There was no snow anywhere on the trail, but you could see some off trail as you got to the saddle. We had wonderful weather and almost no wind when we submitted – but there were a lot of bugs at the summit. We reached the summit around 9am and the sky was pretty clear with no storm cloud buildup. Trail was in good condition – lots of tree roots in the first few miles and of course that last mile to the summit is its own beast! As we descended, storm clouds did begin to roll in and we heard thunder as we finished up the trail.
