At last, Piestewa.

Great hike to finish the challenge! Came from Tucson and at parking lot at 5 45 am and it was pretty packed. I had intended to do the Dreamy Draw trail, but ended up opting for the shorter. Got a space in Cholla parking lot and followed people to trail head. Heard the drummer at the top while I was walking to trailhead! I did this hike solo, and saw many others also solo, all types of people across total spectrum of apparent fitness. It is work, for sure. Hard work.  But all the rocks and stairs kept my mind engaged enough to not dwell toooo much on that part. It was cool and in the shade most of the way up. And still a lot of shade down. Coming down was fun! I wasn’t exactly running, but definitely letting  gravity do its thing. My favorite part! I used a poke and it was helpful except at the top. I definitely would do this hike again. Challenge Achieved!!
