Enjoying this never ending cool Spring we are having…makes it absolutely perfect for hiking late mornings. Since we did this on a Monday, and we wanted to avoid traffic- we left The OC around 8:30 arriving 10ish. If this would have been a hot day, we would definitely been overheated. I wore 4 layers and kept all of them on almost the entire hike. The 5 of us set off and barely saw anyone the entire time…think we encountered maybe 5 -7 others, another perk for hiking mid week! So lucky I’m retired and I can!!:)
This hike was actually a breeze for us after completing Baldy and Ontario, we did it with ease in just over 3 hours. Had a quick snack at the summit and then descended down. Ate lunch in the car & then hit the road back home.
I love my little hiking group, we have so much fun together and I’m so thankful for such great friends!
