Absolutely stunning autumn hike with perfect hiking weather. Surprised there were very few people on the trail on a Sunday. Beautiful diverse trail loop and love that we bagged 3 peaks on route: Mitchell Rock, Twin Peaks, Eagle Peak before reaching the grand peak Mount Diablo. There were lots of people at the summit observation deck who drove up. Stats: 14.20 miles, 3,753 feet gain in elevation took us about 8 hours with a 1 hour stop for lunch at the top. Hiked until sunset.
