We arrived at the parking area at 6:00 a.m. Unfortunately, the bathroom is closed/locked and has not been serviced for quite some time. This forces people to go over to the trees to use the restroom and it's a disgusting mess. People are NOT picking up their toilet paper. It's really sad.
The day was beautiful! A little cool to start, but as we started climbing we warmed up quick! When we arrived at the Baldy Notch, the facilities were also locked there, forcing people to use whatever tree or rock they could find.
Anyway, back to the actual hike. We made a counter-clockwise loop, crossing Devils Backbone on the way up, and stopping at the Ski Hut on the way down. The crowds weren't too bad considering it was a Friday/Holiday. Everyone was polite, masks/face coverings were about 50%.
This is a long, tough day, but totally worth it. The scenery is jawdropping.
