Trail itself is lovely and well maintained. It’s a lot of incline over the distance … it felt crappy today but that could’ve been the party last night and 345 wake up ????‍♀️  I don’t recommend that.

Weather was good in morning but hot by late morning on the lower portion where there is very little shade at that time – the middle to top is pretty shaded (at least it was in the morning). We couldn’t believe people were starting up as we were finishing when it was over 90 degrees!

There was a brown bear on the backside by the observatory! also a beehive in a tree just before manzanita ridge – about mile 4? And 2 of our 3 were stung. So that part sucked.

no sign at the top but we did find the geomarker. There is a filling spigot beside the Cosmic Cafe (cafe is closed) if you need to fill, be sure to hydrate if heading out this week ????????????!
