This was our third time hiking this trail, second time backpacking it. It's still one of my very favorites in Northern Arizona. We brought a couple friends, one of whom hadn't backpacked previously. The last mile is always tougher than it looks on the map! But the very best views. We set up camp near the cabin and then hiked to the peak for sunset. Sadly there was a wildfire just 6 miles away, which was pretty wild to watch. We were the only ones camping out (aside from the two people staffing the fire tower).
