Such a beautiful hike! I really enjoyed this one. Having not done this before, the trail was a little hard to follow in a couple of areas at the start. Not a big deal, and there were other hikers who were happy to help out.
The trail itself was rocky, lots of large stepping and narrows a lot in certain areas. There are spots where the edge of trail is very close to steep drop off. Closer to the top there’s plenty of large boulders as well. There was a young couple headed up as we were headed down. I don’t believe they did this on purpose but they were not cautious either. They sent down a rather large rock, that then caught other stones, tumbling down across the trail in front of us.
Still, I loved this hike. Super beautiful, blooms everywhere, shade scattered about. But we picked a perfect day, temps were cool and it was overcast. It can be strenuous for those my age 🙂 but we’ll worth it. I recommend trekking poles
