This was a beautiful hike. The trail is well maintained. It gets very narrow and steep towards the top (last mile). Despite some road noise in the beginning, I felt like I was deep in the woods. Well you kind of are…

The trail is blazed with blue triangles and it pretty easy to navigate. I screwed up somewhat during the road crossing but easily figured it out. I did not encounter bears or cougars but know that this is the backcountry. I only saw a couple of lizards, some butterflies, and horrible gnats (mostly at the first mile in or so) Bring bugspray!
