Left Friday afternoon from Eugene and got to Scott lake to secure a camp spot. Got one of the few pull in ones. The sunset on the mountains reflecting on the lake was amazing. Spent Saturday at the lake kayaking and swimming, the water was perfect, maybe even too warm. Sunday morning packed up and got to trailhead at 9:30. Began hiking at 9:50, Got to the top at 11:20, reared, and headed back down. Back to parking lot by 1:50. 3 hrs total. Was definitely toasty by the time I got to the bottom, but there was a pretty good breeze for most of the hike and pretty windy at the top. Still a few patches of snow near the top that made things a little tricky to go around. Lots of greenery, new plants, grass, and wildflowers blooming. Tons of butterfly’s everywhere, bugs weren’t bad, although the mosquitoes at the lake were horrible.
