I chose to summit Black Crater on a day that no one should have hiked this. I did it solo because I had other plans in the afternoon. Left the trial head just before 9 and moved quickly. The temperature in the parking lot was mid 40s and wind blowing about 15 knots. As I summited the peak, there was very little visibility and and the winds and rain had picked up to nearly 40-50 knots. Needless to say, I spent very little time at the top and ran down the mountain in order just to stay warm. 5 of 6 done of this challenge. I'm sad to say but summer is leaving pretty quickly.
