Great day for a hike in the Bay Area! The weather started off comfortably cool and warmed up as we finished. We were able to get there in time to grab one of the last remaining spots in the tiny parking lot at the trailhead— a good start to the hike ahead. The trail was nicely shaded in many areas, so you can catch a nice breeze or just cool down as needed along the way. Few areas had a steep incline but they leveled out relatively quickly enough for you to catch your breath. Decent amount of people hiking in the morning hours and there was quite a crowd at the top. I’m guessing they came up from a different path as we never saw them in either direction after the top.
Took 4 hours round trip for us, but if going steadily without many breaks, you can probably shave off at least 30 minutes from that.
Would def recommend as a solid Bay Area hike with a well maintained trail, nice views, and a rewarding workout. Bonus if you have good company like I did. ☺️
