I knew it was going to be a cool and wet day, but the rain was supposed to pass by 8am and I really wanted to keep up my Peak per week goal.  Very few in the Bay Area seem to know about Black Mtn. so I thought it was going to be not too tough.  Mostly fire road type trail for a few miles up, but the incline just never really seemed to subside, it was uphill almost the whole way.  By the time I hit the peak I had done 6.9 miles so just short of 14 miles round trip.  The last 2 miles never ended, a little wet and slippery but not too bad.  I actually thought the downhill was going to be dangerous, but not at all.  Very little view at the top due to fog but it cleared up a bit on the way down.  Saw some dear!  Turkeys at the entrance.

Continued rocking it with my ALZ fundraising, almost $2500 now!
