Some snow on the way up and when we neared the summit the trail was covered in snow. We all found it very helpful to have yak traks or spikes on our shoes. We took snowshoes but didn't need them. We got lucky with the weather in that it was pretty clear on the way up though, unfortunately, once we reached the top the clouds returned so not much of a view. We were thankful the shelter/yurt was open as we had lunch in there and then ventured back out.

It was a good first hike in this challenge and today my quads, hamstrings and glutes are feeling it! This hike is a calf-stretcher for sure!
