We got a little later start than what we wanted to on this particular hike because we knew full well it would be a long one. Well we were set back by an hour and a half, but that was not going to stop us we were forging ahead. After about six and a half miles into the hike We Came Upon A search-and-rescue Team who strongly advised us not to go to the top due to the bad weather. Well we continued on with the hike until the Thunder was crackling over our heads and we saw lightning. Now we made the decision to head back down. We were very close to the ridge as some people told us so. I sure would like to get credit for this hike although we couldn't complete it due to the bad weather. The trail was absolutely lovely and the foliage and The Meadows were awesome. We only saw one baby rattlesnake on the trail.
