This time of year brought out many a hikers! So many that the parks services had rangers at the Hunter trail head turning folks away because they were too many people on the trail head given Covid. Not only did they turn folks away, if you did get on the trail,  you had to make sure you had your mask on. Rather than giving up on the day, we decided to do the Sunset Vista Trail head. Which is longer. The hike was great, I was excited for the climbing, I had brought my gloves, but I was not prepared for the constant sun on my face and body . Even though I had a ball cap on it wasn’t enough. We even started at a reasonably early time of the day. I would recommend a wide brimmed hat and long sleeve hiking shirt.
