keeping this short and sweet since i'm late posting it… this was my first significant hike since Covid-19 quarantine. felt amazing to be back on the trail, though i definitely felt it in my body the next several days. Bear Canyon Loop–took Sitton Peak Truck Trail up and & Bear Ridge back. lots of wildflowers and gorgeous views on return. saw a Horny Toad (!) and there were a number of hikers out on the trail, but not crowded at all. soooo glad i had my poles for that last bit of the summit. that is no joke. all in all, a great day!
