I felt my pulse quicken immediately as we started up the trail. We should have arrived earlier than 7:30am, Parking was full. However, the trail is absolutely beautiful with lovely shade for most part. But I definitely needed to push through on the last mile, but the view took my breath away. Coming down is the hardest on my knees and I went through many waves of emotions to total exhaustion to “this was a mistake” haha I am happy I survived! Definitely an eye opener that I need to continue to train and stay in a smaller range before I try another challenging peak.
