Normally I know exactly what to write to describe my hike, but this time I’m an unable to think of anything other than it was hot. Although I didn’t bother to check the weather that day, it was expected to be hot due to heat wave going on that week and the number won’t give justice to what I felt that time anyway. I ran out of water for the first time with a mile left to the parking. Brought almost 4L but not enough. Didn’t bring my filter but good to know that one of my hiking buddies has one, in case really need it. The best part of the trail is the stream along Icehouse canyon. We stopped to cool down and washed off. Other than getting to the peak, this was the highlight… literally cool????
